Way too pricy. Highly recommened for all night interval photography. I just wish the price was $39.95

Honestly I wasn’t going to get this due to the high price, although I spend a lot on camera gear. That was until I had to shoot Jewelry and decided to use live view on my D700. The fact that you can fine tune lighting and focus, and see it on a computer screen at the same time(I was tethered on a laptop) was extremely helpful. However, my batteries were running out of juice like crazy, I had to keep one on the charger and one in the camera all the time. Live view will suck the life out of your batteries. It’s just I don’t understand why do we have to pay 80 USD for a power cable. I tried finding aftermarket products but couldn’t find any, so I had to bite the bullet.

A must for my new D80. Works just as it should. Very pleased as always with Nikon and with Amazon as my source for on-line buying.

I had planned to buy this AC adapter and the accompanying power supply connector when I bought my D40x a year ago. Just got around to it last month, when I bought two replacement Nikon batteries and resolved to make them last longer than six months.
I do a lot of inside, studio shooting of eBay items and photos of completed art and craft projects. Having my camera running on outlet power during those shoots should save wear and tear on my batteries, I hope.

You need an EP-5 adapter to use this with a D60, …. as I just found out. Another $40! I can’t use this AC adapter until I get the EP-5, so I have to assume it works.
