Only had a week, but everything seems OK. Only reason I didn’t give a higher rating is that the camera is made in Thailand, not Japan. I lived in Thailand for five years and don’t think much of their quality control, but I’m sure a company like Nikon has a handle on that.

The D 5000 was my first Nikon and I Love it !!!!! . I use Canon and Olympus but, I will use Nikon from now on..
i love the olympus for years but the NIKONis better by far.

now i’m starting to learn the manual, its not easy if you are not a proffesional but its a good way to be one. The pictures are perfect, this camera do all the work by it self if you want it.
