I ordered two units with the same part number but I got two dissimilar units even though the bags were marked with the same part number. I guess they were cleaning out their shelves.
This unit is designed such that it will not short out the pins on the bottom of a flash unit. This is a very attractive feature and works fine. Most shoes require the use of electrical tape to prevent this.

Well built and securely holds my off camera flash on a Photoflex “shoe mount multiclamp.” I replaced the Photoflex’s accessory shoe because the screw lock was difficult to secure and ultimately broke off. I should have purchased this earlier.
