  1. Perfect sized bag for the Canon 5D Mark II with a 24-70mm lens. Compartments reconfigure easily so I can put the camera sideways instead of lens down first. Wished the bottom was harder though.

  2. In my photo business I’m always looking for bags that meet my needs. I just hate big over sized bags when a small one would suffice. This bag is fantastic if all you want is plenty of space in a small bag. I recently took it on a 10 day trip and was more than happy with it. My business partner liked it so much he also bought one.

  3. I needed a bag for those times when I wanted to carry a subset of my camera gear, i.e. camera with lens, a spare lens, external flash and miscellaneous (extra batteries, CF cards, etc.) This bag fit the bill, it is just the size I wanted, has the right amount of storage space, lots and lots of pockets and other storage, a super comfy handle on top and is made to slip over the handle of a rolling suitcase. Additionally, it has the rain cover for those times I am using it outside and the rain comes unexpectedly. I really like this bag.

  4. After many years of simply finding the Lowepro case that was the right size and just ordering it, and relying on Lowepro quality, what a surprise when I received this case. It is very much noticeably lighter and flimsier than any other Lowepro case I ever had, and the quality of the outer material seems much cheaper and thinner. The overall padding is also much less than before. It is as if Lowepro finally gave into the “skimp on the product and rely on the reputation and let the customer suffer” philosophy. I think that most of the other reviewers of this product weren’t used to the old Lowepro bags. If you would like something even sturdier than the OLD Lowepro bags (and less expensive!) I would suggest going with one of the Ape Case pro series cases, of which I have two, and am more than pleased with, for instance:Ape Case Pro Medium SLR/Video Camera Case ACPRO1200 And, no, I am not an Ape Case employee, just someone who wants to protect my cameras.

Update, Aug. 8, ’10. After going on a hiking trip, I did find one nice feature, it’s light, and very waterproof. And since I often just leave my camera on my tripod and carry it over my shoulder, it was a situation that didn’t require so much protection. So if you are planning on hiking this may be helpful, just have the Ape Case at home for the rest of the year.

  5. I am a new photography student so everything is a new experience. We were told to make sure we get a bag with lots of padding and Lowepro was a suggested brand offering those features. My bag holds a my big camera, a 50mm and short zoom lens, an SB600 flash, card reader, lens cleaner, eye glasses, eight batteries in holders, several cards, and the owners manuals for the camera and flash. There are two little side pockets for cell phone and chewing gum. This bag seems to be the right size for storing everything. To other newbees, as the collection of photographic equipment grows over time, another bag might be needed. However, it was recommended that the photographer take only what is needed for the intended photographic excursion. So, this bag will serve me for a very long time because it is the right size for me to travel with.

The handsome bag is muted in color and offers custom interior configurations for your stuff. The zippers are well constructed and offer easy in and out of the compartments. The handle is well padded and large enough to accomodate even large hands. The shoulder strap is wide with extra padding providing comfort when toted in that way. Although I had not shopped much for bags outside of the internet, it is sturdy and comfortable. I read in previous postings that the hardware on this bag were well made. Although I have not thought to examine the hardware, it seems to fit the calibur of the bag. For me, it is not too big and not too small and offers portability, organization, and protection of my little collection of stuff.
